I keep checking everyone else's blogs and it seems everyone has something exciting to write about everyday. Over here....Not so much! We have been busy with the usual things that keep us busy, church, school, work, karate, cleaning..... Nothing out of the ordinary to report. I am thankful that our life is not too over whelming right now though.
We are so ready for the spring. We have been able to go out a few times this past week. I took Dylan for a bike ride the other day while we waited for Joshua to get off the bus. Dylan stopped at the corner to collect some rocks. He was very proud of his collection and wanted me to see. I am happy to report he collected 8 big rocks and 3 big pieces of dog poop and had it all ready to take home! Boys are the best!
I still want to put pictures of the new house up but I am waiting until we do some more decorating. We are getting there. We still feel so blessed to be in our new home and are anxiously waiting for our neighbors across the street to move in. It will be nice to have some good friends right across from us. Only 6 more weeks until their house is done!

Spring Fever
Now that Christmas has come and gone I am SO ready for the Spring. We love to be outside and let the kids run wild. The weather has been so awful the past few weeks. It has been raining a lot and the days it is not raining it has been so cold. Today it was warm enough that we were able to squeeze in about an hour outside. Maw Maw gave the boys some silly string awhile ago and they have been dying to play with it. I kept telling them the next nice day we have they can use it. It only took Joshua 2 seconds to remember that once I mentioned going outside. They had fun chasing me, Tim, the dog, and each other around the yard. Glad that is out of their system! After that we took a walk around the neighborhood and met some more of our new neighbors. It was nice to get some fresh air!

Pictures
The boys had these precious pictures made back in the fall. I didn't want to share them until after Christmas since they were gifts for some of the family. My friend Shannon took them. She did a great job. She is getting her photography business started so if you need any pictures done, let me know and I can give you her contact info. It was a very cold and windy day the day we did pictures and Dylan was sick. The kids were great sports and put up with Shannon and I for 2 hours! Thanks so much Shannon for these awesome memories of my boys!

Gross!!!!
Everybody was Kung Fu fighting.....
Well, not really, but how often do you get to say that?! Joshua had his first night of karate Tuesday night. He is taking it at The Little Gym. We took him for a trial night and he loved it. So I guess we will be going every Tuesday night. I am glad he decided to do it. It is more like a karate/gymnastics class (don't tell Tim). It helps the kids with their coordination and balance. The class is for 4-6 year olds. Joshua is the oldest in the class and towers everyone. That does not seem to bother him though. Next semester he can join the older class. The only problem with the class is that is nearly killed Dylan that he could not participate. He wanted to be out there so badly. They have a class for Dylan's age after Joshua's class but we would have to stay up there for another hour and it is during dinner time. I am going to try and take Dylan to swim classes and let Tim take Joshua to karate. Gram said Dylan can come to her house on the other nights so he can do something fun too!

Our First Lunch
Merry Christmas
We celebrated Christmas morning at our "old" house despite the boxes and mess everywhere. Since everything with the new house happened so quickly, we wanted to have one last Christmas at that house. We had already taken down all of the decorations except the tree. We had a fun morning. Joshua got us up about 6:45am. We went in Dylan's room to wake him up, but I think he would have rather slept a while longer before opening presents. We had decided to have a "smaller" Christmas this year to teach the kids a lesson in giving rather than receiving. We got a 5 year old boy's name off the angel tree earlier in the month and shopped for him so he would have a good Christmas. Joshua had a great time picking out stuff for him. We explained that only Santa would bring gifts this year since we used Mommy and Daddy's money to buy for someone else. Well, that did not happen. I think the kids ended up with about the same if not more than usual. That is the only problem with starting your Christmas shopping early, you forget what you have already bought and it doesn't seem so bad spread out over a few months. Oh well! At least we still did something good for someone in need. We are truly thankful that we have resources to be able to do that. Joshua was excited that Santa left him a "Ben Ten alien force maker" and Dylan was excited with his new "lightning McQueen" bike. Tim got a GPS and I got diamond earrings. After we celebrated at our house it was time to go to Gram's. The kids got lots of good stuff over there as well!(Tim and I too)I would say the big hit with the kids was the automatic Nerf guns that Uncle Jason bought. The guns are so big Dylan can hardly hold his up! Thanks a lot Jason! (no sarcasm at all!!!) We stayed the entire day and checked out everyone's gifts and ate a big lunch. That is always one of my favorite days of the year. I thank God so much that I am blessed with a great family. Happy Birthday Jesus!
